Episode Title: | The Paper |
Original Air Date: | October 19, 1996 |
Slightly Detailed Synopsis - SMALL SPOILERS:
Intrigued by the photograph of Lucius Snow in his copy of "Lost Chicago," Gary heads to the archives at the Sun-Times in an effort to learn more about his predecessor. At the Sun-Times, Gary meets Meredith Carson, a brash reporter, and Mr. Morris, the archivist. Meredith becomes suspicious of Gary because he commented on some information in an article about a murder that she was still in the middle of writing. Meredith and Gary cross paths several times and develop a "cats and dogs" relationship - she is determined to find something that will link Gary with the murders and he is as equally determined to prevent Meredith from becoming a victim herself and from getting too close to the truth about his paper.
