Early Edition Trail Mix

EELdate, June 1999:

Inkling, early dues, and peregrin anna, with nothing better to do with their summer at this point -- well, peregrin anna does have *lots* better things to do, some *way* cool stories to finish, but inkling is resting on her laurels a bit here. (Pretty prickly stuff, actually, those dried out laurels. Ouch.) Earlydues is taking a break from shamelessly promoting her EE website to help out on this project. <g>

Anyway. peregrin anna posited the following question: IF EE was a Trail Mix, what would everyone be? So far, this is what we've come up with. Oh, and if a few of these seem to be a bit snarky, well, nonnie was in tonight, and we all got going on her sarcasm mode. <g>

/Baba Wawa bats her false eyelashes at the camera and smiles from the middle of her wrinkles/

"In the Twail Mix of Wife, what fwavor awr you?"

/drumroll.wav/

Erica is -- the golden raisins. The ones that are all dried up and wrinkly and taste awful and you throw them out anyway. <g> Alternatively she's the little chunks of papaya. You know, the ones that are neon orange, look sweet but taste strange and probably were fertilized with radioactive waste?

Moonves and Melvoin -- the cheap, imitation M&M's that the bulk store substitutes for the real thing, and are always disappointing.

Crumb -- the *real* thing when it comes to M&M's, hard shell, soft, semi-sweet chocolate interior. And a crunchy middle.

Brigatti -- spiced nuts sans shells.

Chuck -- coconut -- gets between your teeth and you can't get it out, since he's never really gone.

Gary -- Rich white chocolate something. White knights. peregrin anna wants chocolate covered pretzels. (Ann observed that pretzels are good for Gary - all the contortions he goes through to help) Inkling is thinking in terms of a white Belgian mocha espresso because she lives in the Pac NW and that's her favorite espresso right now. Okay, okay, I know it doesn't go *in* trail mix, but it goes *with* anything. <g> Smooth and wonderful.....

Marissa is ... hmmm.... Dark, Mexican chocolate. Rich flavor with just a dash of cinnamon.

Cat is GummiCATS. <g>

Patrick is cashews. Yummy but a wee bit bent.

St. Nick is the Dried Bananas -- Sweet, crunchy and leave a bitter aftertaste.

Mollie Green is the sunflower seeds -- Hard and salty on the outside, but tender and tasty on the inside.

Henry is the tiny bits of pineapple. Not so bad at first, but way too sweet in large quantities.

Morris is the peanuts. Dependable, hardly noticed, but always there when you need them.

Spike is more chocolate. Just because we couldn't think of something specific for him and earlydues said he should be something that we should always have more of than we get, and peregrin anna says that *chocolate* is something that we should always have more of than we get. <g>

Armstrong would be Brazil nuts - tough

Bernie is marshmallows - appearing puffed up but in reality soft and sweet and melty.
