Laura San Giacomo, Paul Rhys, Fisher Stevens, Michael O'Keefe and Cristi Conaway star in this suprising romantic comedy that combines marriage, passion and adultery in a lover's triangle you can't resist.
San Giacomo stars as Nina, a woman deeply in love with her husband despite his infidelity and frequent absences. But when he leaves town and her best friend borrows Nina's apartment for an extramarital tryst, Nina starts to reconsider her own ideas about love. Reluctantly, she enters an affair with a handsome stranger. And just when you think you understand Nina's change of heart, an astonishing secret reveals her path to true love. Flirty, funny and wonderfully romantic, Nina Takes a Lover is the perfect movie to share with someone - and everyone - you love!
time: 100 minutes; Rated R
Triumph Films / Columbia Tristar
Fisher Stevens has a moderate role as Paulie, Nina's friend's lover. The movie itself isn't all that fantastic. Frankly, it left your reviewer confused for the most part, but it had its moments. A definite must-see for the Fisher fan, but I wouldn't recommend it for casual entertainment viewing.
This film is available for purchase at the usual online video outlets and occasionally airs on the Lifetime network.
