The Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel opened at the Vivian Beaumont on March 24, 1994, under the direction of André Bishop and Bernard Gersten.

Carousel featured Robert Breuler (as David Bascombe), Sandra Brown (as Louise), Kate Buddeke (as Mrs Mullin), Michael Hayden (as Billy Bigelow), Eddie Korbich (as Enoch Snow), Audra Ann McDonald (as Carrie Pipperidge), Sally Murphy (as Julie Jordan), Jon Marshall Sharp (as Fairground Boy), Fisher Stevens (as Jigger Craigin), Shirley Verrett (as Nettie Fowler), Jeff Weiss (as Starkeeper), Duane Boutté (as Enoch Snow Jr), Tony Capone (as Peter Bentley Jr), Philipp Lee Carabuena (as Joshua Snow), Robert Cary (as Jonathan Chase), Cece Cortes (as Elizabeth Snow), Natascia A Diaz (as Abbie Chase), Taye Diggs (as Cyrus Hamlin), and Rebecca Eichenberger (as Virginia Frazer).
